This is interesting. I’ve heard that offering your services to government agencies can be very profitable. I am part of a small, woman-owned business that is just taking off. I’d like to know if my company would be eligible for this kind of government contracting.

Government contracts can be one of the most lucrative out there, not to mention steady. The stability of these contracts is unrivalled and the banks love it when you have these and will lend you as much money as you want. Hard to win though is the pity.

An important part of any business that plans on entering a tradeshow is ensuring the exhibition is unique and eye catching. Especially true if you are going after government or other very high profile contracts, never under estimate the power of good brand awareness.

I attended a similar small business procurement event like this before and I can say that it is really helpful for business owners to understand the in and out of procurement process in the government and other large organizations.

One of the really great things about government procurement is that once you get on an approved suppliers list, you tend to get a lot of business without having to put in proposals each time.
